This is the logo, branding and lookbook for Toquilla, a company created with assistance from an organization called BrandTrade. In Catacaos, a small town in northern Peru, there is a community of women creating beautiful, detailed and complex woven products made of toquilla grass. BrandTrade has assisted these women in bringing their products to Canada to be sold at Indigo and Holt Renfrew, allowing them to be earn a living proportionate to the intricacy and skill of their craft.
